The fruit is very sweet, with the highest sugar content of any mango tested in Florida. It has a strong Indo-Chinese flavor and is somewhat fibrous. The fruit are small, hand in clusters and drop off the tree when ripe.

The Haden Variety mango was the first superior mango cultivar selected and named in Florida. The flesh is an excellent eating quality with a full sweet flavor. It is also very eye catching with it’s deep yellow base with a crimson blush. Hayden remains an excellent variety for anyone that is wanting a medium or large tree. Fruit ripens from June to July.
